International Rules

Competition Format & Structure

  • Schedule: Straight knockout, played fortnightly on a Sunday beginning 8th November 2026.

  • Venue Advantage: Home player/team retains the home venue advantage.

  • Break Choice: The initial break of the match is decided by a lag.

  • Neutral Venues: From the Semi-Finals onwards, a suitable neutral venue will be allocated by the Competition Secretary.

Match Formats

  • Early / Knockout Stages: Race to 3

  • Semi-Finals: Race to 3

  • Finals: Race to 3

  • Match Breakdown Structure: Single, Single, Single, Trios, Trios

Entry Criteria

Entry Criteria & Conditions

  • Membership: All players must be registered MPL members.

  • Entry Fee:

    • £15.84 per trio online (includes processing fees).

    • £15.00 per trio when entering in person at SSSC or Silktown.

  • Venue Notice: Must advise Lewis Ditchfield of your preferred home venue.

  • Closing Date: Entries close on 18th October 2026.

Competition Rules

  • Rule Set: All frames are to be played to International rules. 

  • Shot Clock (Finals Only):

    • A 45-second shot clock will be introduced for the final match.

    • Each team is allowed one 15-second extension per frame.
